Tick Tock
Tick tock, eight o'clock,
Left sock, red sock,
Left shoe, green shoe,
Mellow yellow, sock two.
Two shoe, blue shoe.
Put my pants on upside down,
Look in mirror, see a clown.
Kids at school
Will say 'how, cool'.
Tho' maybe teacher will say 'fool'.
Oops, my bottom needs a top,
Suspenders; so it will not drop.
Tick tock, tick tock, now eight ten.
Time is short, but have a yen,
To watch the TV, in the den.
Hungry now, what to eat?
Something healthy, or a sweet?
Without a doubt,
Sweet wins out.
In the kitchen, make a pout.
Mom, or Dad, has left me gruel,
To fortify my day at school.
Eight fifteen, can't delay,
Can hear the bus is on its way.
So begins another day.
Tick tock, nine o'clock,
Sent to office, in the dock.
Folks were called, come and get him,
Please, in future, do not let Tim,
Dress himself on his own whim.
This is what happens while you at work,
Kid is at home turning into a jerk,
Thinking up ways thst he can harass,
You, ridicule, infuriate and embarrass.
Wait a little while and this too shall pass.
Tick tock, eight o'clock,
Sock one, white sock,
Sock two, white too,
Shoe one, blue shoe,
Number two, also blue.
Dress to match, make no trouble,
Next time, punishment will be double.
No TV, that makes me cuss.
Eat my gruel, make no fuss.
Oh my gosh. I missed the bus.
So another day begins,
In which I'll pay for these new sins.
I called the school, said I am sick,
Somehow they knew, it was a trick,
Dad's come home? Please, hide me! quick!
