A Place Called Lonely

I went down to a place called Lonely.
There I found I wasn't the only
One.

Many were with me;
It was quite pithy
Sharing.

Then it got ridiculous,
We all were so meticulous,
Defining,
Shining
The light of our intellects
On the problem of Lonely.

Someone said would you
Stop all the chatterin'
Hollerin', natterin'?
Try a little flatterin'
And touch me.

We all broke down
And started to frown
Beause some clown
Didn't wanna be Lonely no more.

So we asked him to leave.
We just couldn't believe
That a person like that
Was allowed,
In our crowd,
With a notion that might
Without a good fight,
Have made everything right,
Gathered us tight,
And ruined our loneliness.
