Imagine
Imagine in the dark of night,
The world aflame in burning fright,
The moon no longer gives her light.
Terrifying is the sight,
Desperation is their plight.
Hither, yon, and all about,
Frightened people cry and shout,
As one by one, the stars wink out.
The darkness of the empty sky,
Draws the gaze of every eye,
To something awesome drawing nigh.
All, in wonder, asking "Why?"
Is this the night that we all die?
Had they listened, they would know,
This was foretold long ago.
The time has come when reapers mow.
A glowing orb appears above,
Unrecognized as from His love.
It's time to give mankind a shove,
Into the truth, or all beware.
We who go won't even care,
About the ones whom we leave there,
To face the true reality,
The Author of causality,
Confront their own mortality.
All of those we leave behind,
Must face the fact that they've been blind.
Their final fate has been defined,
By whether they believe or not.
And if they don't, it is their lot,
To stay down here where they will rot.
When His majesty appears,
We will greet Him with our cheers.
Eternal life for him who hears;
For all the rest, their darkest fears,
Will be fulfilled through endless years.
