Gorilla

Summer lightning in the nightning
To a gorilla is quite frightning.
Had he been smarter he'd known he oughtta
Get himself a better brain.
He missed the train to catch that brain
And turned into a Congressman.
If he had known of Darwin's zone
He might have flown,
Or, at least become a dog.
Then when it stormed with rain and fog
He'd come inside and safely hide
Beneath my bed.
