GOOD? FRIDAY
What's good about "Good Friday"?
It's in your point of view.
He let them lie and try him,
In place of me ... and You.
They cursed, they laughed, they,
Treated him with scorn.
They spat upon and scourged him;
Then crowned him with the thorn.
They robed him, and they mocked him;
This troublemaking Jew,
Then nailed him up on Calvary,
In place of me ... and You.
He is the one they crucified,
And speared to have some fun.
They'd not the slightest notion,
He really was THE One.
He hung there 'til his body died,
Then off his spirit flew,
To plead the case of justice done,
To save the likes of me ... and You.
What's good about "Good Friday" is,
It opened up the door,
That we might live forever,
Who could not do before.
