What I Might Be

For forty years, I could not see,
You are the One, who's set me free.
Thank You ... for pursuing me.

Then thirty more, on bended knee,
At last I know the guarantee,
You gave in answer to my plea.

You've loved me to the nth degree,
And handed me the golden key;
Unlocked the door, from life's debris.

You saw what only You could see,
Then took my sins and paid the fee,
So I'd become ... what I might be.

Maybe others won't agree,
But I've accepted Your decree;
Now I shall live eternally.

Thank you Lord for saving me,
By sacrificing on that tree.
I give my heart and soul to Thee.
