Listening to NPR this morning I heard the reporter say. "That was Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff speaking
at a press conference in Washington, DC which ended a few minutes ago."
For a moment I was elated. As I continued listening I realized what she meant to convey was, "That was Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff speaking in Washington, DC at a press conference which ended a few minutes ago." Sadly, only the press conference actually ended. Washington, DC is still there. ![]() Sagaverus Aug 10, 2006 |
