Author notes: the photo of Frank at right was obviously made before his 1902 demise. he was born in 1880. If the photo is a high school senior/grad photo, it was likely made about 1898. My personal guess is it was taken in 1901 when his older brother John Roman married Marguerite Mandot. His attire makes it looks like a wedding style photo.

                             and Ex-Officio Recorder of Births, Deaths and Marriages,
in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, personally appeared
Sebastian Solares,[1] a native of Spain
residing at No. 115 Union Street who hereby declares, that
on the ninth day of September 1880 (9th September 1880) at the aforesaid
residence was born a male child, named
Seraphin Francisco Solares (white)
lawful issue of Raymond Solares a native of Spain
aged 32 years, occupation Cigar Maker and Johanna Binet
a native of Spain, aged 29 years,
Thus done at New orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid Sebastian Solares
as also in that of Messrs. H. Peralta & P.H.Lanauze, both of this City,
witnesses, by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands, together with me, after 
due reading hereof, the day,month and year first above written.

in and for the Parish of Orleans, personally appeared

residing at no 527 Elysian Fields Ave who hereby declares that

a native of this city, aged 21 years
departed this life yesterday (29 July 1902) at no 1210
