[1] Email exchange between author and cousin Anne Reed:
Mrs. Annie and Enoch had three children - Enoch Jr who died at a young age,
Margaret Holmes who married Ambrose Riley Trumbo and died in 1993 without children
(Auntie Margaret was my great aunt) and Anne Holmes.
Her daughter Anne, married Charles Shepard Reed Jr. of Chicago, so she is my
paternal grandmother (I am her namesake).
Anne and CSR Jr. had two children, Margot (borm 7/5/31 and still living without children in
Carmel, California) and my father, Charles Shepard Reed III.
Grandma Anne (Reed) died in 1933, when my dad and aunt were infants,
so I know much more about my Auntie Margaret, as she was always a presence in my life.
In addition to myself (Anne Elizabeth), I have a younger brother, Kenneth Charles Shepard Reed.
[Author notes: records of deaths in Illinois and Florida have so far not been found.
