After his wife's death in 1913, Alcide (Pere), age 85, was living in the Palm Hotel
in Abbeville, Louisiana.
His son Alcide Joseph, age 66, was living with son Hercules' family
in New Orleans. Oddly, Alcide pere is missing from census search results in other years.
He had to be somewhere in 1880 & 1900 but so far not identified.

along with the certified copy of death certificate from the State of Louisiana.
There is no dateline but from the content it appears to be from
the newspaper in Thibodaux, Louisiana in 1924. These documents and all others on
