CATANIA: Elephant with Obelisk Statue
In Catania on the island of Sicily, eastern coast, stands this elephant which appears to be carved from volcanic rock. The photo is the face of a postcard mailed to your host by his son while visiting Sigonella in 1989. Presumably the statue is still there. If you can supply details about size, age, etc., please do.
