Elephanteria Gallery 5 How Elephants are used in Media Content |
Magazine Article in Web Techniques | |
|
The small band of text inside the bright green lines reads: "Pushing the Elephant through the Keyhole:" It's part of an article on adding video to a web site. It was written by Craig Preston and appears in the August 1997 issue of Web Techniques magazine. The "Elephant" is the large amount of data which makes up a video file and the "Keyhole" is the downstream bandwidth from a page on the web to a logged on viewer. Once again, the elephant's attribute of LARGENESS is used to make a point, this time without even an actual picture or visual. The words are enough to conjure up something equally as challenging as passing a camel through the eye of a needle. Web Techniques magazine has a web site at http://www.webtechniques.com. The publication is copyrighted. |
