Full page magazine ad for Dr.Scholl's® Insoles
uses dramatic image of elephant on woman's shoulders
to illustrate the idea of absorbing or cushioning a tremendous weight,
heaviness being one of the most noted elephant attributes.
The relevant ad copy says, "The average elephant weighs 12,000 pounds. The average woman puts 250 times that much weight on her feet every day. That's why Dr. Scholl's created these revolutionary insoles." They are, of course, focused on shoe insoles, not elephants. But still, had they made the shoe image smaller they could have made the striking picture of woman carrying elephant much larger and a lot more attention grabbing. The magazine page in our archive does not bear a publication name or date. The ad is ©1994 Scherin Plough HealthCare Products, Inc. |
