Personal Discourse: Is God A Fool ?

Is God a Fool ?

We humans have an either/or challenge concerning the attribute of Divine Omniscience. To us, it means 'to know, or knowing, all things'. Our problem with God's omniscience gives rise to the false doctrine of Predestination. Either God already knows I am saved versus damned, or He does not know.

This is how we see it because we ourselves know that we either know something or do not know something. Yet we have the peculiar gift of Faith which permits me to BELIEVE I KNOW contrary to ordinary human knowing.

From Scripture we know that God keeps no record, nor has any memory, of my sins since I have repented and am born again of the Spirit.[Isaiah 43: 25 “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more."

Unlike me, God IS capable of erasing my sins from His memory. WOuld that I could do the same. God is not only omniscient, He is Omnipotent, or 'all powerful'. God even has the power to cause Himself to not remember if He so chooses. He does so choose, as He says, for His own sake.

I am convicted that sin can not exist in God's presence.
Humans are guilty of sin, therefore must die, just as Jesus died in His mortal form.
In His case, it was for our sins, not His own.

God desires that we be without sin.
God will not look upon sin.
God turned His gaze away from Jesus as He died on the cross, bearing all the sins of mankind.

I have proven to myself (and to many who know me) that I can not live a life free of sin. I have sinned and will again, for 'even a just man falls seven times a day'. Consequently, God who loves me, can not bear to look upon my sinfulness so He has made an arrangement which satisfies all His attributes. He looks at ME and sees a cloak of righteousness fashioned by Christ. For Him, it is the same as seeing His beloved Son.

Is God then deceiving Himself ?
Is He a fool ?
Not at all. Let me offer an earthly example. A man thinks the world of his daughter and looks upon her as perfect, without blemish, the apple of his eye, and so on. He will not believe any negative report about her. Meanwhile, at school she is a bully; she and her friends are doing dope, having sex, and whatever else.

We would say the man is simply in denial and she needs to be found out and punished. HE, on the other hand, holds his child in such high regard that no matter what the truth is, he loves her and wants only the best for her.

So we are like this daughter.
The best that God wants for us is eternal bliss, not on our merits, but because of His love.

There are fools aplenty.
God is not one of them.
